On behalf of the DCC Global Outreach Committee, I wanted to share a super important development about our short term mission trips to Nicaragua and Guatemala planned for 2021.

Due to the uncertainties of international travel as we climb out of Covid-19, both our trips are now cancelled. Living Water Internationall has cancelled all of their trips for 2021, which included our Nicaragua trip. In light of everything we are learning, we felt it wise to also cancel our Guatemala trip scheduled for late August.

Though we are obviously disappointed our teams will not go out this year, we have learned from Living Water International that our 2020 Advent Conspiracy and LWI Gala gifts will be used this year to reach two villages with wells and clean water and the message of the gospel in Guatemala and Nicaragua. And a container full of wheelchairs and mobility equipment heading to Guatemala this Spring is going to richly bless children and families in the city of Chimaltenango through the community work of Bethel Ministries Internationall, our ministry partners there.

We’re excited to reset our plans, Lord willing, to send short-term teams to Nicaragua and Guatemala in 2022. And stay tuned in the coming months for news about an opportunity *this year* for DCC to become equipped for cross-cultural ministry right here in the U.S.

On behalf of the Global Outreach Committee, thank you for your prayers, generous financial gifts, and encouraging support of all we’re doing as a church to join God as the God of mission in the extraordinary days of 2021, and into next year and beyond. Thanks.
