TIM RICHARDS

Lead Pastor

Tim is almost a Sequim native, having moved here at age 10. He met his wife, Branette, in eighth grade at the bus stop and knew he was hooked. After High School, Tim & Branette both attended Prairie Bible College, each earning a Bachelors in Religious Education. They married in 1984.

After a brief time back in Sequim, they moved to Southern California where Tim attended Talbot School of Theology at Biola University.

 

BRITT HEMPHILL

Families Pastor

Britt was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and experienced life in Ohio, Mississippi, and California growing up. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA and attended graduate school in forestry at the Univ. of Washington where he met his future bride, Gayle, and became a follower of Jesus at the age of 24.  

 

DARREN SWEENEY

Director of Youth Ministries

Darren Sweeney was born and raised in Port Angeles. He started a relationship with the Lord during middle school and he has been passionate about knowing Him and making Him known ever since!

In high school, Darren joined the ministry team volunteering with middle school youth group and found a love for walking with young people in their relationships with Jesus. For the past 25 years, he has continued to lead discipleship groups, youth teams, and Bible studies and grown in his own walk with Christ watching God work in the lives of youth.

 

COLLEEN PRICE

Office Administrator/Care Coordinator

Colleen was born in Port Angeles and raised in Southeast Alaska. As a teenager she spent summers commercial fishing with her family. She attended high school in eastern Washington and in 1990 earned a BA in Child and Family Studies at Washington State University. Colleen met her husband Phil while working in a fish plant in Valdez Alaska on one of her summer breaks in college.

 

SHANE SIMONSEN

Communications Director

Shane was born and raised in the Great Northwest. He grew up on a small farm near the foothills of Mt. Rainier, where his family raised sheep, and Whippets which they lure coursed and showed on the weekends. They also had an assortment of horses, cows and chickens along with the occasional llama.

Gary and Nancy are back on the Olympic Peninsula and available for all types of counseling needs. Professionally trained with masters degrees. Over 20 years experience.

Appointments are available in Sequim at DCC and Port Angeles at IBC.

TERRY SAGE

Custodian

Terry was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington.  He graduated from Western Washington College (University) in 1972 with a B.A. in elementary education.  He was hired for a sixth grade position in Sequim that summer and was drafted his first week of teaching.  After a short leave for training, Terry continued teaching and also served six years in an armored National Guard unit in Port Angeles.  He retired from Sequim School District in 2004 after thirty-two years of teaching. He was a Girl Scout brownie leader for one year and a Boy Scout den leader for three years.  He has continued to work with youth or to teach Sunday school for the last fifteen years.

In 1987 he married Lorraine, who led him to the Lord while attending DCC.  They have three adult children and three grandchildren. Terry started working at DCC in 2002 doing janitorial, grounds, and van maintenance.  He enjoys working with the staff and members of the congregation.
