DCC Kids - Meeting at Home
Until further notice, our all-church on-site gatherings have been suspended.
But you can have an awesome children's worship time right from your living room!
“Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me…” Luke 9:48
We believe that children deserve the very best DCC can offer – our best leaders, our best materials, our best facilities. One desire we have is to see and serve our kids as developing leaders.
We also recognize the fact of the 4-14 Window; that about 85% of those who make decisions to follow Jesus do so between the ages of 4 and 14. We understand, then, there are important connections to the Gospel that God makes for children 4-14 years old when we as a local church serve them well. Children’s Ministry is indeed a sacred calling.
Children Preschool through 5th grade are invited to join classes Sunday mornings to learn about Jesus and how the Bible is really one big story about Him. The curriculum we use is The Gospel Project from Lifeway. Our teaching leaders and helpers serve kids in a way that models the gospel and recognizes every child as a growing leader. Childcare is also provided for babies and toddlers at both Sunday services.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer we offer a Vacation Bible School for kids ages 4 years through 5th grade. This is a high energy and fun filled week with Bible teaching, music, dancing, games, art and more! This is a FREE event and open to anyone!
Boost is a FREE after school tutoring service for students in grades 1-5. Boost is intended for families who don't have the financial resources to acquire tutoring for their children. Volunteers from DCC volunteer to assist students who need extra help in reading and basic math. We are within walking distance of the Boys and Girls Club of Sequim!
