Hello Church Family,

Celebrate Recovery is alive and well!  We are back meeting on Wednesday nights and my heart is full as I reflect on all that God is doing through this ministry.  While the news shows the statistics about suicides and overdoses being up and it seems like chaos surrounds us, I am filled with joy to watch brothers and sisters in Christ find freedom from anxiety, controlling behavior, food issues, isolation, and drugs of choice.  These are “idols of the heart” which buy us momentary relief but do not purchase lasting peace.  When the world around us seems to be out of control there is a way to live in each day surrendered to the One who promises us peace. Romans 7:18 says so much about what our human struggle is;

“For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.”
- Romans 7:18

The “cannot” is the key because, although we cannot, the exciting part is He can.  We are powerless, but God is all powerful.  What delight the Father has when we press into Him with our need!

What is Celebrate Recovery?

Celebrate Recovery has been a beautiful vehicle which a good, good father is using to break us free from our patterns of behavior according to Romans 12:12.

“Let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us,
and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith
who for the joy before Him endured the cross.”
- Romans 12:12

We are mixed group of men and women from different ages, backgrounds, and issues running the race in community and finding joy!  We would love for you to join us. Click here to contact us and learn more

Final Thoughts

Lastly, a huge shout-out to the fellow leaders I work beside at CR.  I am full of gratitude for you.  You are wonderful hands, feet, ears, and whatever else the Lord needs to complete his work.  Also, thank you to everyone who supports us financially, with food, and through prayer.  The Lord sees you and honors your efforts which are the foundation of lasting change.
