Hello, my name is Greg Hustad and I teach a group at DCC called the Wordsmiths. Wordsmiths started at Dungeness Community Church in Sequim many years before my wife Sue and I ever became a part of the group and was given the name Wordsmiths because, as one of our long time members Janet Moore told me, “we search the scriptures and rely on them for truth to live by in everyday life with Christ.”

The Wordsmiths meet during the day, every Wednesday morning, 10:00 am – noon in the DCC Chapel.

We begin with some old hymns and add in an old Sunday school song at times. We use the large screen in the chapel to play videos from YouTube with large lyrics.

Following our singing, I am teaching a series on our true identity "in Christ " and we are currently in Ephesians. Most of our group feels comfortable sharing what the passage means to them. In fact we always pray and ask God to speak through all of us.

In Wordsmiths we enjoy a closeness and fellowship which allows us to enjoy being together and to share what is happening in our lives and our families.

We always spend the last part of our time together praying for each other and our families as well as for our pastors, elders and our church. And we pray for our nation and our DCC missionaries.

Lastly, very soon we will begin again to go out together for lunch on the first Wednesday of each month, following our time together in the chapel.

So for those of you who do not belong to a small group, or maybe you do not like driving at night, Wordsmiths would welcome you with open arms. Again, we meet during the day, every Wednesday morning, 10:00 am – noon in the DCC Chapel. So, come check us out. How about this coming Wednesday? See you at 10:00 in the chapel!
